Where are the msmen lovers? Today I am sharing with you this simple msmen recipe that is all too happy to be eaten! It is the perfect snack to serve with ne3 ne3 tea (mint tea) or to enjoy on its own!

If you don’t have semolina in the house or have a hard time getting it, this recipe is ideal to make! And the taste? That one remains phenomenal!

9 g salt 1½ teaspoon
15 g granulated sugar
25 g buttercream unsalted
400 ml water lukewarm water
CREAM BUTTER MIXTURE
40 g buttercream unsalted
40 ml sunflower oil
EXTRA

Put the flour, salt and sugar in a bowl. Make a hole in the middle. Add the melted butter and water. Knead for 5 minutes.

Place the dough on your work surface, Cover with a sheet of cling film and let stand for 45 minutes (this way the dough will become well pliable).

Divide the dough into 8 pieces (150 g each).

Spread some sunflower oil over your work area (25 ml). Place the ball of dough on top and press slightly flat. Repeat this step. Cover with cling film and let stand for 45-60 minutes.

Mix the melted cream butter together with the sunflower oil in a bowl.

Grease the workstation well with sunflower oil (15 ml). Place the dough on top. With a light touch and a quick sweeping motion with your fingertips, from the center outwards, gently spread the dough into a wafer-thin formed circle of 45-50 cm. Grease your hands well each time, as often as necessary. You do this so that your hands glide easily over the dough.

Spread the buttercream mixture evenly over the dough. This step is optional, assume your personal preference.

Fold the wafer-thin dough inward into four sections. Form the dough into a 15-cm square package. Sprinkle some fine semolina on both sides of the dough. Repeat the procedure.

Heat the skillet over medium-high heat. Start with the first msmen you folded (work only on a greased workstation). Grease your hands well and use your fingertips to flatten the end to double the size (21 by 20 cm).

Place the square msmen in a frying pan (with thick bottom) and fry for 30 seconds. Turn the msmen over. Fry the msmen for one to one and a half minutes. Make a swirling motion with your hands each time so that the msemen colors evenly. Turn the msmen over again and cook for 1 minute or until cooked. Repeat the procedure.
