Tips

Take the time to knead the dough. Knead for the full 10-12 minutes, or until the dough feels smooth and elastic.

Make sure to let the dough rise in a warm, draft-free place. This speeds up the yeast process and gives the dough a better texture. Check regularly to see if the dough has doubled in size before continuing with the recipe.

Cut the vegetables into small pieces, but not too fine, to maintain some texture in the filling.

Experiment with the amount of spices to suit your taste. Taste the meat mixture before placing it on the dough and adjust the seasoning if needed.

Let the topped pizzas rise again before baking. This second rise is very important for a fluffier crust and better structure.

Always preheat the oven to the correct temperature before placing the pizzas inside.

Add extra cheese and vegetables to taste, but be careful not to overload the pizzas so the crust doesn’t get soggy.

Serve the meat pizzas straight from the oven for the best flavor and texture.

1

Add the flour, yeast, sugar, salt, sunflower oil, and lukewarm water to a deep bowl. Mix well and knead for 10-12 minutes until smooth

2

Cover the dough and let it rise for 1 hour in a warm place or until the dough has doubled in size.

3

Meanwhile, you can start chopping the vegetables. Peel and finely chop the yellow onion. Cut the zucchini and red pointed pepper into small pieces. Grate the carrot and cut the green olives in half.

4

Heat a pan over medium heat. Add the ground meat, cumin powder, red bell pepperpowder, garlic powder, ras el kouzina, turmeric powder, salt, and dried parsley. Cook for 4-5 minutes.

5

Add the zucchini, yellow onion, red pointed pepper, green olives, and carrot. Mix well and cook for 5 minutes. Let the mixture cool.

6

Divide the dough into 8 pieces (60 grams each) and shape into balls.

7

Take a piece of dough and roll it out.

8

Place the dough on a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Add cheese as desired and spread the meat mixture on top. Sprinkle some grated cheese over it.

9

Let the dough rise for 30 minutes or until it has doubled in size.

10

Place the meat pizzas in a preheated oven at 220°C (430°F). Bake for 12-18 minutes, or until the pizzas turn golden brown. Immediately cover the meat pizzas with a clean tea towel to keep them soft.
